this would the one I would be buying.

its just a matter of me selling off the BMW and the Z1000. as soon as the funds from those are in my hand, I’m gonig to pick this up.

Nice! Has that one been modified at all? A guy I ride with from time to time has one that’s been modified a bit and I think is not far from 130hp. For what it weighs... Hhhnnnnggghhh

He’s had a lot of bikes, and Ducatis, for that matter, but the 848 is the one he rides the most.

Hell of a road trip though!  Just take like two months to do it, pack a tent and stuff, it’ll be good fun! But on an 848 you’d have to adjust your valves when you get here and then again when you get home.

Depends, I think e veryone who has done track days has had at least at one time gotten passed like they were sitting still by some instructor on a SV650 regardless of what bike you’re riding.

That’s on a track though. A controlled environment. Our roads are torn up old things that are crumbling away beneath our tires and full of potholes, covered in gravel, leaves, pine needles, and idiots going 20 under. Even the pros succumb to physics.

Hard pass.

Most of the “car enthusiasts” I know at diamler are Mopar guys... That’s a bit of a step down from RAV4 boss guy. Although I’m sure the Mopar guys would understand if I’m out for mechanical issues in a way Toyota bossman just doesn't.
